FAQ

How do individual therapy sessions work?

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes long. We meet on a weekly or biweekly basis at an agreed upon time, for example every Monday at 10:00AM or every other Wednesday at 1:00PM. This way, therapy becomes part of your routine, and helps you commit to consistent therapy.

Where are you offering therapy?

At this time, I am offering tele-therapy to individuals located in New York and New Jersey. All sessions are conducted via HIPAA secure technology. I hope to one day offer in-person therapy again and conduct home/hospital visits.

How long will I be in therapy?

Every individual has different needs, however I believe therapy should be consistent in order to achieve goals and maintain them. The initial stage of therapy will include a biopsychosocial assessment which will give us a picture of your biological, societal/social, and psychological state. From the assessment, a treatment plan will be designed, which has the potential to be fluid and change throughout our time together. Some interventions may include homework to complete between sessions (for example, a meditation or short yoga and breathing sequence).

What is meditation and how can it help me?

Meditation is the practice of being able to let go of your thoughts and not pay attention to them, in effort to shift your focus to your breath.

Do you accept insurance & what are your rates?

I am In-Network with the following insurance providers in New York:

Cigna, United Healthcare, Oxford, and Oscar (Soon Aetna)

If you have insurance with one of the above plans in New York, and would like to schedule an appointment, please fill out the Initial Screening form and indicate your insurance provider when prompted.

If you do not have any of the above plans, I accept Out-of-Network plans through Advekit.

Advekit is a neat service that helps you use your Out-Of-Network insurance benefits to save you money on therapy.
